An all-time favourite of mine, this piece harkens back to my first painting trip to Europe with Karlyn Holman's group, where we explored magical medieval villages throughout southwestern France.  Her talents, sense of humour and generosity of spirit made her a 'top shelf' teacher. We all miss her.

This scene is taken from the courtyard of the Vieux Couvent near Frayssinate where we stayed. 

Out of the way and around a corner, behind the conservatory, I found a pile of discarded pots. I was fascinated by the way time had left its stamp on everything.
