Why an elephant? I have always had a place in my heart for these gentle, intelligent creatures. They travel and live in sophisticated communities and are collectively protective of their young. I have never actually seen one in real life but I sure would welcome the opportunity to do so. Hats off to all those wonderful folks working to protect them from extinction… I salute them!
