BOTTLE STUDY

'Looking' is not the same as 'seeing'. When we take the time to quiet the mind and really 'see', all sorts of things that were not previously available suddenly become apparent. Shadows are no longer grey, but subtly coloured by the influence of the object and its surroundings. Light reflecting on glass begets a whole host of shapes and colours.

This started as an exercise but ended up a painting without modification of any kind. Even the notes I made were left, representing the art journey.
